You can calculate your energy consumption for a given production unit on the energy per unit screen. The energy per unit is calculated by taking the total energy consumption and dividing this by the total produced units.
Follow the below steps to calculate the energy per unit:
- Select the unit type (1 unit, 1000 units, or 1 kg) to define the output metric.
- Select one or multiple assets that are used in the production of your production units. Per asset, define:
- Interval: the date and time period this asset was used for the production of these units
- Contribution: lower the contribution % if the asset was also used for other production lines that did not contribute to the production of these units
- Select one or multiple assets that have counted your production units (note: if you don’t use our OEE capabilities, you can manually enter the total number of produced units). Per asset, define:
- Interval: the date and time period this asset was counting the number of produced units
- Conversion: Increase the conversion rate if a single OEE count does mean more than one produced unit
- Hit the ‘Calculate’ button.
The calculation outcome is visible in a bar chart on the right side of the screen. Below the chart, a table displays the total energy consumption and produced unit values that are part of the energy per unit calculation to verify the calculation input.
