Tracking Reports

Tracking Reports are reports that you can configure with the modules that are relevant  for you. In the reports section of the Sensorfact platform you can set up and configure reports yourself. During the consultancy process our consultants will also help you to set up a report.

Most insights that are available in the Sensorfact platform are also available in our reports. Tracking Reports can be used for many different purposes, for example:

  • Tracking the progress of your savings measures
  • Increase personnel awareness of energy waste
  • Track your machine performance
  • Report on your energy consumption internally or externally

Time Aggregation Options

Depending on the frequency of the report generation you can choose the time aggregation of the data.

  • Monthly reports: aggregate data per week and month
  • Weekly reports: aggregate data per day and week

Visualization Options

Depending on the analysis module you select, you can choose from different visualization types including bar charts, tables, and tables with examples. The available options will vary based on the module, number of selected machines and time aggregation.

Available Units

Depending on the analysis module you select, you can visualize your data in various units:

  • Power: Measured in kilowatts (kW)
  • Energy: Measured in kilowatt-hours (kWh,MWh)
  • Percentage of consumption: e.g. Percentage of the total consumed (kWh) compared to standby consumption (kWh)
  • Volume: Measured in cubic meters (m³) for gas, compressed air, and water
  • Cost: Financial impact in your local currency
  • Carbon Emissions: Environmental impact measured in CO₂ equivalent
  • Time: Duration in hours
  • Energy by volume: For compressed air, measured as kWh/m³

Each analysis module offers specific unit options that are relevant to the type of analysis being performed. When configuring your report, you'll be able to select from the applicable units for your chosen module.

Available Analysis Modules:

Currently, you can select modules for our Electricity, Gas, Compressed Air and Water products. Specifically, you can select the following modules:

Electricity

  • Electricity Consumption: Visualizes electricity consumption in power, energy, cost, carbon emissions or time
  • Electricity Consumption Outside of Operating Hours: Visualizes electricity consumption outside of the operating hours. These are based on the production schedules as configured in the Settings
  • Electricity Consumption per Shift: Visualizes electricity consumption broken down by shifts. The shifts are set up by your consultant during the energy scan
  • Standby Energy Consumption: Visualizes standby consumption in power, energy, cost, carbon emissions or time. Our algorithms automatically detect when a machine is in standby mode
  • Protocol Deviation: Visualizes electricity consumption when protocols are violated. The protocols are set up by your consultant during the energy scan
  • Peak Power: Visualizes the highest power peak in a certain time period
  • Electricity consumption per production hour: Tracks machine energy efficiency by calculating the average energy consumption per production hour. It sums the total energy consumed, including standby energy, over a specified period and divides it by the total hours spent in production mode
  • Electricity consumption per status: Visualizes electricity consumption when machines are On, specifically in Production or Standby mode

Gas

  • Gas Consumption: Visualizes gas consumption in volume, energy, cost, carbon emissions or time
  • Gas Consumption Outside of Operating Hours: Visualizes gas consumption outside of the operating hours. There are based on the production schedules as configured in the Settings
  • Gas Consumption per Shift: Visualizes gas consumption broken down by shifts. The shifts are set up by your consultant during the energy scan

Compressed Air

  • Air Consumption: Visualizes air consumption in air volume, energy, cost, carbon emissions or time
  • Air Consumption Outside of Operating Hours: Visualizes air consumption outside of the operating hours. There are based on the production schedules as configured in the Settings
  • Energy Efficiency Compressor(s): Visualizes the energy (kWh) needed to produce 1 m³ or air

Water

  • Water Consumption: Visualizes water consumption in water volume, cost or time

To set up a Tracking Report, watch this explanation video or follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to Report Configuration:
    Go to the "Report" tab.
    Select "Configuration."
  2. Click on "Create a new Tracking Report"
  3. Set Up General Settings:
Report Name: Enter a name for your report.
Language: Select the desired language for the report.
Frequency: Choose between a weekly or monthly report.
Recipients: Add the email addresses of all recipients (you can add as many as needed).
  4. Click "Save" to proceed to module setup:
  5. Set Up Modules:
Analysis Type: Choose the type of analysis you want to include in the report.
Subtitle: Provide a subtitle for your report.
Description: Decide whether to include or exclude a description.
Select Machines: Choose the machines you want to include in the report.
Machine aggregation: Decide whether to show data per machine, per machine group, or as a combined total.
Time Aggregation: Choose how the data will be aggregated in time.
Include days of week: Select the specific days you want to include or exclude in the report.
Reference Value: Decide whether to include or exclude a reference value.
Visualization: Select the type of visualization (e.g. bar charts, table).
Unit: Per visualization type choose the unit.
  6. Save the Module:
Click "Save" to finalize the setup.
  7. Add more modules to your report

You have now set up your first tracking report. All recipients will receive an email with this report within the next scheduled period (weekly or monthly, as configured).
