Installing the In-line sensors

The In-line sensor replaces a piece of pipe from your network. This sensor is used for smaller diameters and comes in 2 sizes, ½BSP & 1 BSP. The ½ BSP version is for diameters up to 21,3mm(DN15) and the 1 BSP is for diameters up to 33,7mm(DN25).

In contrast to the insertion sensor, it is not possible to install the In-line sensor under pressure since an original piece of pipe needs to be replaced. Timing the installation of this sensor is important so it does not interfere with production.

The In-line sensors are accompanied by a tubing kit. These are 2 pipes that make sure the flow towards and after the sensor is laminar. The length of this tubing kit is dependent on the size of the sensor. The total length of the tubing kit for the ½ BSP sensor is 300mm and for the 1 BSP, the total length is 498mm.

Additional space is necessary for the transition pieces from the tubing kit to the original piping. Add about 150-200mm for that.
