If you want to measure a machine where the fused power is above 600A there are a few ways around this. Firstly, 600A is the maximum amount of amps per clamp. If a single phase does not reach the 600A then it is possible to measure this machine.
The Rogowski coil is an excellent solution for measuring currents between 600A and 3000A or in situations where our current electricity sensor clamps are too small. It functions similarly to the other clamps but requires a nearby power socket for operation.
However, please note that this product is not intended for:
- Measuring lower currents (<400A) as accuracy will decrease.
- Usage across multiple power cables. While this is possible, we cannot provide accurate energy consultancy and savings recommendations in such cases.
- Measuring the mains power supply. While this is possible, we cannot provide energy consultancy and savings recommendations in such cases.
Check the one-pager about our Rogowski coils here. If you are interested in these bigger sensors, please ask your onboarding representative.
