General information
The Technical Assessment is a form that you need to fill out for us to know which hardware to send. Our onboarding representatives send the Technical Assessment to you to fill in or download here. Some details to point out about the Technical Assessment:
- If a Technical Assessment is not correctly filled in with all the needed information, the hardware cannot be shipped. Most importantly: The invoice email address, Purchase Order Number, and the Wifi credentials: Network name and password;
- The first “user” indicated on the Technical Assessment is the person addressed on the hardware package(s), and the person receiving the track and trace emails;
- The address on the Technical Assessment leads to where the package will be delivered.
Machine information
Pipe name: Each name needs to be unique. There can not be multiple sensors with the same name. The name of the sensors refers to the place of the machine within the company.
Mark indication on technical drawing (piping and instrumentation diagram - PID): If you have an existing PID or a technical drawing of their compressed air network, we would like to receive it. Please, also mark the desired locations for a sensor on the PID.
Outer diameter pipe [mm]: The outer diameter is important for determining what sensor type is suitable.
Inner diameter pipe [mm]: The inner diameter is used in the configuration of our sensor and the calculation of the airflow so it is very important that it is as precise as possible. If you have a Sensorfact Installation there is a possibility that our installers can determine this for you but ask your onboarding representative about this.
Pipe material & Pipe brand (important with aluminum pipe material): The material of the pipe is also important to know. All metals are usually suitable but PVC or other plastic piping is not advisable or even possible at all. In the case of aluminum, the pipe brand may also be important since there are different possibilities.
Location of sensor: Knowing the general location of the sensor is beneficial, especially if we are coming to install for you.
Indication of altitude of meter: In case of a Sensorfact Installation, our installer needs to know if they have to prepare for an installation at height. In this case, the customer might need to provide a scissor lift or other tool to provide a safe working environment at height.
Picture name Distance to 230V outlet below 5 meters? [yes/no]: It is important to know that the sensor needs a power supply to operate so a nearby power outlet is necessary. The bridge also needs a power supply.
Special remarks (e.g. safety instructions, in case at altitude, etc.): If there are any leftover or special remarks about the location you can let us know. Especially in the case of a Sensorfact Installation, this might be applicable since it is important to know for our installers in what environment they have to work.
There are no groups for compressed air. When our you have multiple networks (for example two networks with different pressure), the sensors per network will be grouped together in the software.
Pictures
We ask you to include some pictures in the same file to get an idea of the location and its surroundings. There are at least 2 pictures needed of different perspectives; An overview of the situation and a zoomed in picture of the chosen sensor location.
The pictures have 3 additional requirements. The 3 requirements are:
- In at least 1 picture the direction of airflow it must be clear using an arrow on the piping or by a drawn-in arrow;
- The desired location of the sensor clearly drawn in on the picture e.g. with a X;
- The length of the longest piece of pipe uninterrupted by T-junctions, corners, feed-ins, valves or other interferences.
